Apheresis

How is it used in Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease?

Apheresis method is an auxiliary method used in both Ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, in addition to the drugs used for the current known treatment purpose. Although apheresis alone is effective, it facilitates remission more effectively when used together with medications. It stops the risk of going for an operation, eliminates the need for surgery, or helps avoid the operation and avoids complications if an operation is to be performed. When used effectively, it puts the disease into a calming period called remission.
